Just four days ago a massive earthquake hit Japan measuring 8.9 on the Richter scale. According to Japan’s number 1 public broadcasting service (NHK), the death toll has risen to over 10,000. Now a United States consulting group also claims that this will be the most expensive disaster in modern times. With this all unfolding could things get even worse?
Other than lack of food and (clean) water another huge matter is nuclear activity. According to MSNBC More than 180,000 people have evacuated the area, and up to 160 may have been exposed to radiation. This is coming from four nuclear power plants in Japan. On Monday morning the United Nation’s stated that three of the four nuclear power plants nuclear levels were at a safe level, but the Fukushima Daiichi is still very unsafe. On Saturday the Fukushima Daiichi power plant rose over 1,000 times over the safe level. Over the weekend the numbers have fallen, but are still high. Japanese officials are acting sooner than later with response efforts claiming about 1,500 people had been scanned for radiation exposure already. According to Fox News Japanese officials warned of a possible second explosion at a nuclear plant crippled by the earthquake and tsunami as they raced to stave off multiple reactor meltdowns, but they provided few details about whether they were making progress. Another contributing factor to this possible meltdown is a new developing story that Japan is facing another tsunami with waves up to 10 feet in the air. The prime minister of Japan called this Japan’s worst crisis since World War II.
This being a big problem for the country itself is also hurting the world’s economy. On Saturday Japan stopped almost all of its imports of oil (Japan is the third buyer of oil in the world). This helped gas prices in the United States for about a day until conflict arose in the Middle East… again. Japan itself lost a lot of money according to an AIR report that claimed total losses from the quake could range from $14.5 billion to $34.6 billion, which hurts the world economy big time, also new news from NHK that Toyota is halting production of all vehicles. All this happening at once will leave a huge dent in the World Economy on Monday, which BSN will report 100% of the way.
Millions of people in Japan are looking for food and water, leaving the Japanese government to bring over 120,000 bottles of water to people who need basic necessities, if you want to donate to the cause and help Japan click here because sadly in times of disaster you don’t always know whether an organization is legit, or if it’s trying to scam you. Google crisis response is legit and is willing to give all the necessary information so you can be informed to where your money is going to.

After Toyota's accused "deadly" problem with sticking accelerators, government officials want to install Crash Recorders in the cars. It would be like those on air planes that monitor only crucial information, but what if more than just that could be monitored. Is this just a stepping stone to a car that watches your every move?
The Department of Transportation claims that Toyota that led to over 50 deaths and 8 million recalls. This is giving Washington a go ahead for the idea.

Welcome to update number two of the Superbowl 45. So far the score is 21, 10 Green Bay. Green Bay has scored 7 points in the second quarter, and Pittsburg has scored all 10 points in the previous quarter. So far the Green Bay is dominating but the Steelers can still come back, two injury’s also came up in the second quarter Eric Walden, and
Maurkice Pouncey, both with ankle injuries.
The halftime show was amazing, not the best, but pretty good. The Black Eyes Peas has guest performances from slash and usher! They covered many songs, but did not leave out their hits, one of them Boom Boom Pow. They did get Liberal during where is the love, changing words and calling President Obama to create more jobs and stimulate the economy. Sadly, even the Superbowl is political. One highlight was the amazing light show. Dancers ran around the field making shapes and they were filled with lights, making the lights phenomenal. During the first song, there was a slight sound problem, where they were off from the song in the background, and Fergies microphone was muted. It was quickly fixed though.

This is a bill likely to pass in the state considering that 56% of California residents support the bill, while 42% are at a firm no, and 3% are not sure. Democrats support this bill and so are young voters in general, but a number of republicans with libertarian like views also agree. But President Barack Obama does not see that, in 2004 President Obama said that legalization is not the key, but that we need to rethink it. Authorities yesterday intercepted two mail bombs to Chicago; it was suspected that Al-Qaida in Yemen was responsible for what happened. President Obama did call this a "credible Terrorist threat". The first package was discovered at a cargo-distribution center at East Midlands Airport, about 115 miles northwest of London, according to local police. FedEx Corp. said authorities overnight Thursday confiscated a second suspicious package originating in Yemen at a FedEx package facility in Dubai. The Explosives were found on UPS and FedEx cargo planes on the way to Chicago. A U.S. defense official said there was no telling yet what exactly the devices were for, but they could turn out to be a diversion for a real attack. "An indicator that there may be an attack is people doing a rehearsal," the official said. The Chicago Tribune reports that the attacks could be aimed at two members of the Jewish community in the north side of Chicago, but that is not yet confirmed.

Today Secretary in State Hilary Clinton arrived in Egypt for more Mideast peace talks. Clinton joined the Israeli Prime Minister and Palestinian president, as well as the Egyptian president who is hosting the meetings. Senator Jim Webb from Virginia told Fox News “I don’t think they ought to be drawing a distinction at $250,000”. Could this force High Income family’s to spend less? President Obama stated today about the Mosque near Ground Zero the country's founding principles demanded no less. He later went on in saying "As a citizen (who yes, still didn’t verify his birth certificate), and as president, I believe that Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as anyone else in this country." It’s a normal day. Monday 8-9-2010 and you’re going on a flight to the JFK airport from Pittsburg, you board the Jet Blue plane. And you just have a normal flight right? That’s not the case on flight 1052. Apparently a crazy flight attendant didn’t really like his job, and the day was going from bad to worse, or so it seems. Apparently a passenger was getting a bag, and the flight attendant asked him to sit down, the passenger continued to take his bag out and accidently hit the flight attendant in the head. Now let’s hope this is not a response of anger management because what he did next was crazy. He walked to the back of the airplane and turned on the PA system of the Jet Blue airline and told everybody off. He then used the $20,000 emergency slide, and walked to his car and drove home, to go to bed with his lover. Today August 7th 2010 Elena Kagan was sworn in as Supreme Court Justice. How many times did she get sworn in? One- nope two times. One in public and one with only her family present. The 112th Justice swore to administer justice evenly to the rich and poor alike and to follow the Constitution despite her progressive ideals. Kagan later thanked the president and said this "[Thank you for the] obligation to uphold the rights and liberties afforded by our remarkable Constitution" yet our President called out constitution flawed.  This is to advise you that Mark Hurd, Chairman and CEO of HP, has resigned from the company effective immediately. Mark's resignation was submitted at the request of the company's Board of Directors as a result of inappropriate behavior in which he engaged that violated HP's Standards of Business Conduct and undermined his ability to continue to lead the company.
At the request of the Board I have agreed to serve as interim CEO until a new, permanent CEO is hired. During this time I also will continue to perform my duties as CFO. The Board has formed a committee to undertake a search for a new CEO, and candidates from inside the company as well as outside the company will be considered. I have informed the Board, however, that I do not wish to be considered for the role of permanent CEO, and I have removed myself from being a candidate for that position.
While this news is unexpected, HP remains in an exceptionally strong position both financially and in the marketplace. It is essential, however, that we remain focused and continue to achieve – if not exceed – our operational and financial objectives.
Because there is likely to be considerable media coverage of this announcement during the next few days, I wanted to be the first to share the facts with you.
Mark's resignation followed an internal investigation into a claim of sexual harassment asserted against Mark and HP by a woman who is former contractor to HP. The investigation was conducted by outside counsel in conjunction with HP's General Counsel's office and was overseen by the Board. Based on the investigation it was determined that the former contractor's claim of sexual harassment was not supported by the facts.
The investigation did reveal, however, that Mark had engaged in other inappropriate conduct. Specifically, based on the facts that were gathered it was found that Mark had failed to disclose a close personal relationship he had with the contractor that constituted a conflict of interest, failed to maintain accurate expense reports, and misused company assets. Each of these constituted a violation of HP's Standards of Business Conduct, and together they demonstrated a profound lack of judgment that significantly undermined Mark's credibility and his ability to effectively lead HP.
As we regularly remind all employees, each of us is expected to adhere strictly to the Standards of Business Conduct in all of our business dealings and relationships. This expectation applies with even greater force to HP's CEO and other senior executives who, given their positions, must set the highest standard for professional and personal conduct. The investigation that was conducted revealed that Mark had failed to meet this standard.
We recognize that this change in leadership is unexpected news. We also know that HP's success in recent years is due to the collective efforts and hard work of more than 300,000 talented employees who have formulated far-reaching strategies and achieved our objectives better than anyone else in the industry.

Last Sunday BP claimed they made progress in capping the oil spill, what they did is they got the cap ready to be capped. What happened? They successfully did it. Waving a flag upside down is a sign of distress for the country/state/town that it’s waved in, and that’s exactly what Downriver, Mich., eye doctor Byrd did. He waved the American flag upside down. Why? Was it because he wanted to disrespect our military, or disrespect the patriotism of our country? Nope, and actually quite the opposite. Dr. Byrd did it because of the threat to our constitution and the threat to our country, and according to him, our country is in sever distress, so he did it. More and more liberal bands are going against Arizona's immigration law, and these two are no surprise. Nine Inch Nails and Maroon 5 are now against the law, even though the law specifically says that this law prohibits racial profiling, and is simply just to filter out illegal immigrants. These bands are now going to skip over possible tours in this state. Nine Inch Nails’ headman Trent Reznor did announce that Nine Inch Nails would never tour again, but his new band "How to Destroy Angles" may not visit Arizona on their possible tour in 2011. On Monday the Supreme Court extended the right to bear arms nationwide. What’s the second amendment even mean today? The same as yesterday, right? The Supreme could not make the supreme decision and wound up giving the case to smaller state courts, so they can deal with it for years. Remember if they do that city’s like Chicago where it’s illegal to own a gun will make it illegal in the whole state while the country’s constitution says otherwise. Back before the Civil War this was legal to not go by the constitution, but now that the country’s together states must follow the constitution, which will lead to conflicting laws. Studies show that states with lax gun laws have less crime. Do criminals buy their guns legally is the argument. BSN was researching news websites Saturday June 26, 2010 and they stumbled apon a story that brought up interest. BSN read the report on foxnews.com that was titled “Is the World Broke?” This inspired more interest. What do we do if all the countries are broke? Is anyone not broke? What about China? Communist manifesto China is actually broke too! All of our forms of currency will mean nothing. Remember to look at history because this happened before! December 23, 1913 was the day that this solution was found and the Federal Reserve was created. This made one form of currency in the United States that could be used in all 50 (22 at the time) states. Some- very few things should be controlled by the Feds, this being a big one. This boosted the economy but then with Progressivism it failed and pushed the world to how it is now, but now were looking for solutions and if it worked then, why wouldn’t it work now right? Except this is on a slightly larger scale… A form of Global Currency, think were crazy? Well this has been in the making for years by many groups, with many ideas of combining our economy’s, so instead of our dependent/reliant economy we would have 1 economy. This could only be the first step to a one world government. One currency, multiple governments won’t work for long as history tells us, so combine the governments… Globalization and it could be coming very soon.
