Waving a flag upside down is a sign of distress for the country/state/town that it’s waved in, and that’s exactly what Downriver, Mich., eye doctor Byrd did. He waved the American flag upside down. Why? Was it because he wanted to disrespect our military, or disrespect the patriotism of our country? Nope, and actually quite the opposite. Dr. Byrd did it because of the threat to our constitution and the threat to our country, and according to him, our country is in sever distress, so he did it. He is a Patriot and loves this country, and he said he didn’t mean to disrespect anyone at all, he claims he was just showing that our country is in a state of distress.
